PetSitterLocal.com is a marketplace platform that connects pet owners with local pet care providers (pet nannies/sitters). Our service includes:

Connecting pet owners with qualified pet care providers
Payment processing with a 12% platform fee
Background verification services for pet sitters
Communication tools between users
Email marketing and updates (with consent)

3. User Responsibilities

For Pet Owners:

Provide accurate information about your pets and care requirements
Ensure your pets are properly vaccinated and healthy
Pay for services as agreed upon with your selected pet sitter
Treat pet sitters with respect and professionalism

For Pet Sitters:

Complete background verification process
Provide accurate information about your experience and availability
Deliver services as promised and maintain professional standards
Communicate regularly with pet owners during service periods

4. Payments and Fees

PetSitterLocal.com charges a 12% platform fee on all transactions. Payment terms include:

Pet owners pay through our secure platform
88% of payment goes to the pet sitter
12% platform fee covers payment processing, background checks, and platform maintenance
Payments are processed weekly to pet sitters
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis

5. Background Checks

All pet sitters must complete background verification. Background check fees ($29.95) are paid by the sitter. While we conduct thorough screenings, pet owners should use their own judgment when selecting care providers.

6. Insurance and Liability

Important Notice:

PetSitterLocal.com does not provide insurance coverage for pet care services. Pet owners and sitters are responsible for their own insurance arrangements.

Users participate at their own risk. PetSitterLocal.com is not liable for any damages, injuries, or losses that may occur during pet care services. We strongly recommend that both pet owners and sitters maintain appropriate insurance coverage.

7. Privacy and Data Collection

By using our service, you consent to our collection and use of your information as described in our Privacy Policy. This includes:

Contact information for service delivery
Payment information for transaction processing
Email addresses for marketing communications (with consent)
Service history and reviews

8. Email Marketing Consent

By providing your email address and checking the consent box, you agree to receive marketing emails, service updates, and promotional offers from PetSitterLocal.com. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or contacting us directly.

9. Prohibited Activities
